International Conference on Photochemistry

The International Conference on Photochemistry remains one of the most important scientific events for the international photochemical community. It is held every two years in world renowned education and research environnement. Past editions have been hosted, among others, in Strasbourg (France), Jeju Island ( Korea) or Leuven (Belgium). Each edition gathered hundreds of participants from all around the world thus providing a highly stimulating networking environnement.

IUPAC International Symposium on Photochemistry

The International Symposium on Photochemistry remains one of the most important scientific events for the international photochemical community. Over the years, participation in the Symposium has included a healthy number of delegates from North America, Asia, and Europe, with a smaller but sustained participation of delegates from Australia and New Zealand, Africa and Latin America. The IUPAC symposium in Photochemistry brings together many of the world experts in various scientific areas and strongly encourages the participation of younger scientists, postdocs and students. The scientific topics to be covered in the Symposium include areas of unparalleled impact in the world today.

The 28th IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry (PhotoIUPAC2022) will be held July, 2022, at the Roeterseilandcampus of the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

The conference will cover all areas of photochemistry. Some topics are listed below, but they are not intended as a limiting classification nor to exclude any other experimental or theoretical contributions related to the field.

  • Light energy conversion
  • Photochemical reactions and intermediates
  • Artificial molecular switches and motors
  • Photo-mechanical materials
  • Imaging and sensing
  • Single molecule photochemistry
  • Photomedicine
  • Photobiology
  • Emerging techniques and applications
